Fright Nights 2024 Line Up Revealed

A new maze, update scenes and a 4D experience comes to Fright Nights

Thorpe Park have today revealed their line up for the 2024 Fright Nights event, with the most notable attraction this year being DeadBeat, a brand new scare maze.

DeadBeat, which will be located in the back of The Walking Dead pyramid, next to Slammer. The story of the maze is:

“It’s two minutes to midnight, and the clock is ticking. Will you surrender willingly or dance the night away, embracing what may well be your final night on earth? But beware this is no ordinary venue—here, the music doesn’t soothe the soul; it devours it.

Chained to the rhythm, you’ll be ensnared by the hypnotic sound of the underground, as blinding lights draw you deeper into the pulsating abyss. With every heartbeat and every breath you take, the demonic forces close in, feeding on your soul.

As the beat drops, you might try to break free—but there’s no escape. The creatures of the night are everywhere, lurking in the shadows, watching, waiting, and feasting. This is no bittersweet symphony; it’s a relentless spectacle of terror! DeadBeat promises a night you’ll never forget—and for some, it’ll be murder on the dancefloor.”

In short, you’re in a nightclub, but demonic forces will do their best to ensure this is your last. There’s also many hints to several songs here, all of which have in some way inspired the soundtrack and/or maze experience. The maze will feature demonic, ghostly characters, currently known as Viscerals.

Little else is currently known about the maze. The maze was given a codename of Project Sophie, which many thought related to Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Murder on the Dancefloor. However, it has been confirmed via Jack Silkstone that whilst this is certainly a link, this was not the original reasoning for the project title of the maze. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for the reason!

New for 2024

On top of DeadBeat, an IT 4D Experience will make its way to the Sunset Cinema. Showing every 30 minutes from 3pm on Fright Nights dates. This is the first time since 2019 that an external IP has been at Fright Nights. This short film is a highlight reel of the recent IT films, with 3D projection and 4D effects.

Creature Campus is changing for 2024. The Sisterhood of the Witches defeated students from Amity High and LycanThorpe High in their first year at college, but a brand new group of monsters are trying to make their mark: a group of Gorgons led by Medusa herself. This marks the first time in the Amity-based dance show that vampires will not be appearing.

Returning for 2024

Last year’s three mazes, Stitches, Survival Games and Trailers, all return. Trailers will have “new scenes” for 2024, with strong suggestions that nods to Platform 15 and Creek Freak Massacre will be present. Whether these are separate rooms, or combined into an Old Town inspired area, is unknown. It is also unknown what scene(s) these may replace, if any.

The Crows of Mawkin Meadow and Lucifer’s Lair also return. The Crows are set to roam the park from 3-4.30pm, before heading to their own scare zone, and Lucifer’s Lair will also feature new changes for this year.

Death’s Doors is the only attraction from Fright Nights 2023 not returning.

Fright Nights starts from 4th October, and runs on selected dates until 3rd November. The 4 indoor mazes are all upcharge attractions, starting at £8 per person per maze.
