Ever wondered what Trick or Treat would be like if there were no treats, and only tricks? Death’s Doors is perfect for you.
Opening in 2022, for the park’s 21st anniversary of Fright Nights, Death’s Doors is a rather unique scare zone. The experience features 21 doors, and guests are invited to knock on as many (or as few) as they like. Behind some doors, there might be nothing and you’re safe, but behind others, there might a surprise which Death themselves has conjured up.
Death’s Doors had a mixture of characters throughout. From an evil Santa Claus to an abandoned teddy bear, from monsters to sirens and everything in between, you never knew exactly what you were going to get. This unpredictability was part of the fun of the attraction.
Unlike many other Fright Nights attractions, there was also extra interactivity with actors and characters. You may encounter the same character multiple times, giving the opportunity to build more of an encounter with them. This might not lead to more scares, but could leave to some moments of dark humour, which is uncommon at Fright Nights.
Due to the nature of the attraction (knocking on doors to find actors), your experience could vary, and the more you put in, the more you get out! And whilst it wasn’t the scariest, it is one that could always leave an impression!
Death’s Doors had only one entrance and one exit, but was a free-roam experience once inside. Guests were batched in large groups, meaning there might be a small wait before entering.
