Thorpe Park have confirmed they are set to open for the 2020 season on Saturday 4th July following updated guidance from the government today.
Originally set to open in March, Thorpe Park along with all other leisure attractions across the country have been closed since mid March due to strict measures imposed by the UK Government in response to the Covid 19 Pandemic, as infections across the UK continue to drop, the government have given the green light for businesses within the leisure industry to reopen their gates from the 4th July as long as social distancing measures are in place.
Thorpe Park have already published details on steps they will take to keep guests safe during their visits, these include measures such as encouraging pre booking and contactless payments, temperature checks before entry, reduced capacity and social distancing measures introduced throughout the resort.
Due to the reduction in capacity, it is expected Merlin Annual Pass holders will need to purchase a £1 ticket in line with other Merlin theme parks to guarantee entry to the resort, full details on this can be found on the official Thorpe park website.
