The latest news live from WWTP Radio warns us another Tidal Wave is on its way and everyone must head to the Amity Cannery immediately to evacuate the area!

Amity, the first major area to be installed after The Tussauds Group purchased the park, is an example of how good the theming of a regional park can be. Set in the fictional village of Amity Cove, an American fishing community, which has been ravaged by regular Tidal Waves, actually created as the splash from the Tidal Wave ride.

Destroyed buildings such as a Gas Tower and Church are prominent from the main area, while others have faired the destruction fairly well. This theme is kept consistent in the main area with a shark embedded in the building housing the parks KFC food outlet, hinting heavily at a connection to the Jaws film franchise.

As one would expect the area is home to two of the parks water rides; Tidal Wave and Storm Surge making use of the chlorination facilities on both rides, providing the area with a swimming pool style smell. Alongside this are two rollercoasters, including the parks signature attraction Stealth. For younger guests, and some older ones too, there is Flying Fish and Storm in a Teacup.

There are a selection of food options available from five different outlets providing a wide variety of menus ranging from snacks, Amity Coffee Shack, through to full menu options, such as KFC and Amity Fish and Chips. Alongside this are two retail options for the customers look to splash out their hard earned cash including the parks signature Thorpe Park Megastore.
